Comments: Words cannot express how much love I have for these bits and pieces of Bleach love. If nothing else, the author never fails to entertain. Some of the drabbles are connected and some aren't. For example, the author has established an ongoing relationship for Ganjyu and Hanatarou, and most of the fics centering around the 11'th division characters have reappearing pairings and keep to a sort of timeline, but on the other hand I've seen several fics that pair up Rukia and Ichigo, and others that pair each of them them with other people. In this particular situation these differences didn't bother me. It's not "OMG must read now" material, but the type of thing I come back to time and again. It keeps me busy between classes, in any case. I'm gonna stop blabbing now.

Comments: This is a very, very well written continuation. It really is like a second season, albeit an adult one. All of the characters are spot-on and the plot is exceptionally detailed. I'm not saying it's completely perfect, but pretty damn close.

Comments: I found this on another recs list, where it was warned as being a Highlander crossover. I am unfamiliar with Highlander, but after reading this fic and then doing some Highlander research, I can say that at most the author is borrowing from Highlander mythology. As far as I can tell she hasn't used any characters from the Highlander universe. No mention of using Highlander influences is mentioned in the author notes, so it is equally likely that she just thought up the mythology herself. That said, I found this a highly enjoyable read. It was a long story that I adored from start to finish. The author deserves extra points for finding a believable way of making Xander and Spike be destined for each other, and also for utilizing an unusually creative way of extending Xanders lifespan.

But what makes him different is that he's a clairvoyant; he can read thoughts by touch or he can simply 'hear' them. Kind of complicates matters. Yeah. So when he runs across a man whose thoughts he can't hear, although trying to gives him nosebleeds, he decides that that is a fair trade. That is until he finds out that the guy isn't a typical 'guy,' and that getting involved with him only leads to trouble...and a few dead bodies.
Status: Complete, 22-parts, with a sequel in-progress (Blood in Siberia). Updates are slow.
Comments: Duo's POV sounds like a real person, sarcasm and all. I laughed quite a bit and was thoroughly intrigued with the author's interpretation of the characters. It all seems strangely fitting. 2x5 is not a pairing I normally go for, but it works wonderfully here.

Comments: This is, without a doubt, one of the most perfect arcs I have ever read. I read the first fic and then devoted five days to reading all the others. I couldn't skip anything, it was just too beautiful. For one thing, I think that Duo's hamsters are some of the best hallucinations any author has ever come up with. I laugh quite a lot at his expense. And the steady devotion that both Heero and Duo display towards one another makes me feel all glowy.

At times this fic is heartbreakingly sad, but it makes the good parts all that much better. Merry and Pippin are adorable and the author shows true depth and patience in developing them as characters.

Comments: Okay, I know that this fic shows up on nearly every naruto rec list out there, but dammit the praise is deserved! If you haven't given this fic a chance you don't know what you're missing. Maldoror presents a very lovable Lee, and frankly her take on Gaara is the best I've come across. Not only that, but her character and plot development has a very natural and believable progression.
InoShikaCho Oneshots by Imbrium Iridum

Summary: A collection of Team Ten drabbles, sidefics to SelfReliance and Zouen Jutsu. Ratings go anywhere from G to R. ShikaChoIno threesome, mpreg, and various other fun things.
Status: Can't be sure, honestly. All of the stories stand alone, though they all take place in the same 'verse and aren't arranged chronologically. All-in-all it hardly matters, this set of stories is arranged in such a way that I don't mind if more is never written, while at the same time more would always be appreciated. There are a few similar one-shots available via the author's profile page. The whole mpreg concept makes more sense if you read "SelfReliance" first (it's NaruSasu), but on the whole these fics stand on their own fairly well without the preread. Oh, and the other fic mentioned, "Zouen Jutsu" still isn't posted publicly, though you can find a snippet on the author's LJ if you look.
Comments: Loved these, they give me that lovely warm feeling I so rarely find in fics. The dynamic between the characters is beautifully demonstrated and very comfortable to read. I have a helluva hard time finding good Naruto fic, but reading this gives me hope for the fandom.

Comments: Something of a fic that seems to be an excuse for Kiba and Shino to have sex, but plot is worked in so it's even nicer than that. I like the authors take on the characters.

Brian and Justin keep bumping into each other on commuter flights back and forth between Pittsburgh and New York.
Status: Currently has two series within the arc. The first series, "Commuter Flight Stories," is complete at 30 chapters. The second series, "Turbulence," is in-progress with 5 chapters. Updates still occur somewhat regularly, about once a month. The author seems to be slowing down, but whether this indicates a loss of interest in the story or just a busy life has not been disclosed.

Comments: A classic among Kenshin/Kaoru fans, "Heart's Ease" has everything I ever wanted in my Kenshin/Kaoru lemon. Not only is the writing fabulous and the sex scenes superb, the author also infuses the writing with the personalities and intentions of the characters, which just makes the whole thing better.

Comments: Much like Ruri Hoshino's "Dreamer Awakened" (a Blue Seed continuation), this fic is so good that I no longer feel the need to search for other fic in this fandom. All of the characters are dealt with wonderfully and I really like the author's take on how Haku's power and corporeal forms work. I actually stayed up nearly all night trying to finish "Courage of the Spirit" the first time I read it.

Comments: Words cannot express how much love I have for these bits and pieces of Bleach love. If nothing else, the author never fails to entertain. Some of the drabbles are connected and some aren't. For example, the author has established an ongoing relationship for Ganjyu and Hanatarou, and most of the fics centering around the 11'th division characters have reappearing pairings and keep to a sort of timeline, but on the other hand I've seen several fics that pair up Rukia and Ichigo, and others that pair each of them them with other people. In this particular situation these differences didn't bother me. It's not "OMG must read now" material, but the type of thing I come back to time and again. It keeps me busy between classes, in any case. I'm gonna stop blabbing now.

Comments: I found this on another recs list, where it was warned as being a Highlander crossover. I am unfamiliar with Highlander, but after reading this fic and then doing some Highlander research, I can say that at most the author is borrowing from Highlander mythology. As far as I can tell she hasn't used any characters from the Highlander universe. No mention of using Highlander influences is mentioned in the author notes, so it is equally likely that she just thought up the mythology herself. That said, I found this a highly enjoyable read. It was a long story that I adored from start to finish. The author deserves extra points for finding a believable way of making Xander and Spike be destined for each other, and also for utilizing an unusually creative way of extending Xanders lifespan.

So when he runs across a man whose thoughts he can't hear, although trying to gives him nosebleeds, he decides that that is a fair trade. That is until he finds out that the guy isn't a typical 'guy,' and that getting involved with him only leads to trouble...and a few dead bodies.

Comments: Duo's POV sounds like a real person, sarcasm and all. I laughed quite a bit and was thoroughly intrigued with the author's interpretation of the characters. It all seems strangely fitting. 2x5 is not a pairing I normally go for, but it works wonderfully here.

I couldn't skip anything, it was just too beautiful. For one thing, I think that Duo's hamsters are some of the best hallucinations any author has ever come up with. I laugh quite a lot at his expense. And the steady devotion that both Heero and Duo display towards one another makes me feel all glowy.

Maldoror presents a very lovable Lee, and frankly her take on Gaara is the best I've come across. Not only that, but her character and plot development has a very natural and believable progression.

Status: Can't be sure, honestly. All of the stories stand alone, though they all take place in the same 'verse and aren't arranged chronologically. All-in-all it hardly matters, this set of stories is arranged in such a way that I don't mind if more is never written, while at the same time more would always be appreciated. There are a few similar one-shots available via the author's profile page. The whole mpreg concept makes more sense if you read "SelfReliance" first (it's NaruSasu), but on the whole these fics stand on their own fairly well without the preread. Oh, and the other fic mentioned, "Zouen Jutsu" still isn't posted publicly, though you can find a snippet on the author's LJ if you look.
Comments: Loved these, they give me that lovely warm feeling I so rarely find in fics. The dynamic between the characters is beautifully demonstrated and very comfortable to read. I have a helluva hard time finding good Naruto fic, but reading this gives me hope for the fandom.

Not only is the writing fabulous and the sex scenes superb, the author also infuses the writing with the personalities and intentions of the characters, which just makes the whole thing better.
Spirited Away

Comments: Much like Ruri Hoshino's "Dreamer Awakened" (a Blue Seed continuation), this fic is so good that I no longer feel the need to search for other fic in this fandom. All of the characters are dealt with wonderfully and I really like the author's take on how Haku's power and corporeal forms work. I actually stayed up nearly all night trying to finish "Courage of the Spirit" the first time I read it.
